"The Rise" Original
24 x 30 oil on gallery wrap canvas
Limited Edition Giclees available
The Rise pays homage to the wounded healers, those who hold onto hope through even the darkest seasons. The deepest wounds are often unseen, carried close to the heart, protected and slowly transformed. In the act of healing we begin to rise and become a new version of ourselves. Backs straight, eyes forward, we move slowly, intentionally toward wholeness.
The waterfall behind her symbolizes the continuous rush of the past, always flowing, always present. The branches around her form a quiet scaffolding, connecting her to what came before while supporting who she is becoming. It is early spring: snowmelt feeds the river, cold still lingers, but the promise of warmth is near. Seasons always end and begin again. So too does The Rise in its quiet becoming, returning and renewal.
